  1. Congratulations to Caroline Buck who ran the 3200 meter race last night in 11:52, breaking a school record set in 1999!

  2. Are you interested in running for Class Officer or being a Student Council Representative next year?  If so, please attend the MANDATORY meeting on Wednesday, April 27th during lunch.   Please see Mrs. Stinnett or Ms. Reilly with any questions.  

  3. The Mariemont girl’s varsity lacrosse team defeated CHCA last night 15-5 to bring their record to 11-0.  The Warriors defense was the star of the show. Erika Dewey, Marley Valentine, Megan Muller, Emmy Tepe and goalie Brynna O’Brien held the talented Eagles scoreless in the 1st half. Caroline Soller and Piper George led scoring with 4 goals apiece. Senior captain Caitlin Bortz blew out the candles and scored a birthday goal on a nice crease roll. The Warrior JV also won over the Eagles 16-9. Mariemont hosts Columbus power Bishop Watterson at Kusel Field Saturday at 4:00 pm in a rematch of last year’s State Semifinal.

  4. Senior athletes that are planning on playing on the college level next year should make sure to communicate your sport and your school with Mr. Nerl to make arrangements for the signing day on May 12.  

  5. Juniors and Seniors: Prom and After Prom tickets are on sale THIS WEEK until Friday at 4PM. Tickets are sold ONLINE at mariemontsports.com. Click on “tickets” and scroll down to prom and/or after prom.  Make sure to fill out Final Forms online if planning to attend either prom AND/OR after prom; parents and students will both need to sign off. See Ms. Reilly to sign your group up for prom seating. Tables are 10 people per table. Let Ms. Reilly know if you have any dietary restrictions.

  6. If bringing a non-MHS guest to Prom, please pick up a form in the main office and return it to the front office ASAP.

  7. The Home Builders Association of Greater Cincinnati is offering 6 scholarships to motivated students pursuing a career in residential construction, whether you plan to attend college, trade school or are heading straight into the work force.  Check out the flier with scholarship application on the job board in the CCPC.

  8. Hamilton County Youth Employment is hiring youth ages 14-21 for area businesses.   See the email on the job board in the CCPC.

  9. Mariemont Players Theater invites all students, parents and staff to attend their latest show. Laura Gunderson’s Ada and the Engine, is the inspiring and fascinating story of Ada Byron Lovelace, the brilliant female mathematician now recognized as the very first computer programmer. At the dawn of the Industrial Revolution, Ada,18, befriends Charles Babbage the inventor of the first ‘analytical engine”. Together they imagine the future - a world where a thinking engine could not only do complicated calculations, but talk to itself, predict outcomes, and even make music. The show runs from May 6-22. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 per student. Groups of 10 or more receive a $2 discount per ticket and are on sale at https://www.mariemontplayers.com/.
