Are you interested in working to prevent and mitigate health risks in the general
public? Public health combines many different disciplines and supports
occupations in diverse scientific, medical, research, and government settings.
We are having a Career Chat to discuss public health careers on Tuesday,
October 12, during Warrior bell in room 26 downstairs. Please plan to attend to
learn more! Also, remember that on October 21, our Career Chat will feature MHS graduate,
Kieran Phelan who will share his journey regarding How to Become a Doctor.

3. Seniors - if you are applying to a college with a November 1 deadline, then
remember that you need to turn in your pink transcript request form by Monday,
October 11. If you need a letter of recommendation from a teacher or Mrs.
Leszczuk, then you must ask for this by October 11, too. See Mrs. Leszczuk with
any questions.

4. Attention National Honors Society Applicants. Please check your school email
this weekend for acceptance information and action steps. Let Mr. Wiseman or
Mrs. Lowery-Harris know if you have any questions.

5. If you are interested in cheering for basketball this winter, come to the two clinics,
Monday, October 11th and Tuesday, October 12th 4:00-5;30 in the Mariemont
Elementary gym. Tryouts are 4:00, Wednesday, October 13th at Mariemont
Elementary. No experience is necessary; we will teach you a cheer and dance

6. The PTO will be selling pink Mariemont shirts for breast cancer awareness month
and the Friday night pink-themed game. They will sell shirts during lunch Friday
for $20 and will also sell them at the game.
