10-3-19 Annuoncements

Congratulations to the Lady Warriors Soccer Team who won handily over Cincinnati Country Day 3-1. Abby Robinson scored 2 goals and Isabella Drake scored 1. Macy Hampton shut them down in goal. The Warriors are now 10-2. Mark your calendars for next Thursday because the boys and girls soccer team will be playing for all of the victims of breast cancer. Funds raised will go to two local women in Terrace Park fighting breast cancer. The boys game starts at 5pm and the girls at 6:30. Those that wear their jerseys get in free. There will be a bake sale, split the pot and a chance to win the game ball. Hope to see you all there!

ATTENTION ASPIRING WRITERS: ALL 7TH AND 8TH graders interested in the Power of the Pen Team are invited to the first round of try-outs taking places after school on Tuesday, October 8th.  Please meet in Mrs. Jordan’s room (207).  Bring paper and a pen or pencil.  If you cannot attend, talk to your language arts teacher.  Hope to see you there.

The 10th Annual Warrior Run; A Race For Life will be held at the Bell Tower Park, right here in Mariemont, on Saturday, October 5th.  Students who run, walk, or volunteer for this event will help raise money for important causes and activities right here at MJHS.  Grab your friends and join Mr. Campbell and Ms. Alexander among other teachers and staff who will be at this event for fun, food, and a movie in the park after dark. If you want to sign up, you can bring $10 to Mrs. Skinner or go to the Mariemont Schools Team page https://www.classy.org/team/250658

Volunteers are needed to help set up for the Warrior Run next Saturday, October 5th from 9:30 am-noon.  We would love for any MJHS student to help, even if you aren't joining Builders Club.  Please contact Mrs. Parr to sign-up to volunteer.  Proceeds from the Warrior Run fund our mental health programs such as Sources of Strength here at Mariemont Schools.  Go Warriors!
