Interested in playing High School Football? Any current 8th graders and their parents that are interested in playing football in high school are invited to attend a meeting with Coach Leone and other high school coaches on Wednesday, January 12th after School in Room 209 to learn important information about the offseason. Stock Market Game Announcement:
We are pleased to announce the 6th annual MJHS Stock Market Game (SMG), led by Jeremy Gates, a certified financial planner with Fifth Third Securities. Mr. Gates is a Kiwanis member, and has been in the investment industry for 20 years.
This two month challenge involves students working in teams research and trade stocks through the stockmarketgame.org and the University of Cincinnati. Each team begins with $100,000 to build their portfolio.
SMG meetings will take place on Tuesdays during 7th and 8th grade lunch periods. Sign-ups will take place January 24th and 25th in Social Studies classes.
We are very excited to introduce a new concept that we have been working on, The Traveling Chef Program!
Each week, Chef John Schuh will be traveling to the schools of the southwest Ohio region, bringing a great culinary experience along with him! He will visit Mariemont High School on Mondays and Junior High School on Tuesdays, preparing a special offering that will be featured for purchase during lunch service for students, faculty and staff. Chef John will be there to serve his dish and also to talk culinary arts with anyone who is interested or has questions. Also, every sixth week, Chef John will visit the Elementary Schools to prepare a special offering for the younger students.
