Philanthropy is using your time, talent, and treasure to help people solve problems in your community and around the world.
A well-known Ohio philanthropist is LeBron James who started the I Promise school in Akron to help underachieving students and families have better opportunities to earn an education.
Anyone can be a philanthropist. Any small act of help and kindness that makes the lives of people who are struggling better is philanthropy.
How can you be a philanthropist in your community? Consider how you can use your time, talent, and treasure to help others.

We will be having our first Project LIT book club meeting tomorrow during lunch in Mrs. Jordan's room. Project LIT is a national book club group striving to empower readers and leaders! There will be an 8th grade climate council meeting tomorrow during lunch in Mrs. Hunt's room. Any 8th grader is welcome to attend.
