Announcements -- Monday, February 12, 2024

  1. Winter sports are winding down and Spring sports are gearing up. There will be a brief sign up meeting after school on Wednesday February 14th in the Hub for anyone interested in running track this spring for the Warriors.

  2. If you are planning on trying out for baseball this Spring, you must attend a meeting in Mr. Hanley's room during Advisory tomorrow.

  3. Last year, the senior class blood drive was a record breaker.  We collected over 50 blood donations and thanks to all who donated, the senior class earned a $500 grant.  This year, our blood drive will take place on Wednesday Feb. 28th and we hope to "break the blood bank" again.

We still have open spots but they are filling quickly.  All students who donate at the blood drive will receive a wearable blanket.  Any student, parent, or community member 16 years old or older meeting height and weight requirements is invited to be a life saver.

See Mrs. Bell for a permission form if you are 16 or if you have any questions.  If Feb. 28th doesn't work for you , you can make an appointment at any Hoxworth location and tell them to credit Mariemont High School's blood drive. Your donation truly makes a difference in someone's life.

  4. On Wednesday, February 14, team Warriors for a Cure will be hosting a Valentines Boutique in the hub, before and after school and at lunch.  We will be selling sweet treats, stuffed animals, jewelry, flowers and MORE.  Don't forget to bring in money on Wednesday.

  5. Students, remember that this Thursday in advisory you'll be registering for your courses for next year. You won't have time during this advisory to talk with teachers or counselors regarding what courses to take - you need to do that before Thursday.

On Thursday, you will simply have time to add your courses into your Powerschool account. Please come prepared!

  6. Come join us to celebrate Lunar New Year this Monday during lunch in room 156, and as it is customary, we’ll be handing out red envelopes.
