Congratulations to our 7th and 8th grade Power of the Pen teams!
They had a great day of writing at Districts this weekend! 7th
grader Audrey Zelinski won best 7th grade alternate. Our 8th
grade team came in third place out of 14 teams!! For individual awards, Ellie
Haynes earned a 12 place finish while Grace Flerlage placed 5th and Erin
O’Donnell placed 4th out of 71 writers! We are VERY proud of ALL of our
writers! We hope you had a great day of writing. We will meet this
Thursday in Mrs. Jordan’s room where you will get all your writing pieces
back.
We would also like to thank all
of our STUDENT VOLUNTEERS who gave up a Saturday to be runners!

of Romeo and Winifred! Our first rehearsal will be held TODAY from 3:00-4:15 p.m.

PROJECT LIT meets this Friday at lunch
in Mrs.Jordan’s room where will will discuss our new read, Ghost by
Jason Reynolds. ALL 8th graders are welcome!

Opportunity
- Any students interested in helping at the ME carnival, on Saturday,
March 7th from 4pm-7pm at the elementary school, we would love
to have your help! Students can do anything from running a carnival game
to helping serve food in the cafeteria. If you are interested, see

Track - Students interested in joining the Jr. High track team please meet in the library with Coach Maddie on
Wednesday, February 5 during lunch.

Late Arrival / Early Dismissal Procedure:
Parents please send a note to school with your student if they need to leave
early for an appointment or other reason. Please remind your student to
bring the note to the office upon arrival (prior to first bell class) where
they will receive a pass to leave class early and wait at the office until you
arrive. If this procedure is followed, your student will be sent outside
to meet you upon your arrival. In place of a note to school you may email
Mrs. Murray prior to 8:30 [email protected].
