12/6/19 Friday Announcements

Congratulations to the 7th grade Girls Basketball team for winning their season opener against Taylor 22-17 on Monday! The whole team got in on the action with our best defensive players of the game being Sarah Pschesang and Delaney Kintner. Offensively the team was led by Laurel Black, Lucy Glassmeyer, and Mila Zanardo. On Wednesday the 7th grade girls fell to Wyoming in an energetic game, but had big contributions from Lucy Glassmeyer with 9 points and numerous steals! The team also had offensive contributions from Laurel Black, Sarah Pschesang, and Anna Breen! Go Warriors!

Attention Model UN Members! Those who are currently a part of Model UN, or those wishing to attend our conference in January should plan to attend a meeting Thursday, December 12th at 7:40 a.m. in room 210. If you cannot make the meeting, please let Mrs. Parr or Mrs. Barzi know!

Hear ye, Hear ye! Attention all Junior High Students! Auditions for the Spring Play will be taking place after the Holiday Break! This year's production will be Romeo and Winifred. You may have heard of the story of Romeo and Juliet, but we're guessing you've never heard the tale quite like this before! Everyone is invited to audition for this hilarious and light-hearted rendition of the classic love story. Please pick up an audition packet from Mrs. Barzi, Ms. Bedell, or Mrs. Ramsey prior to the Holiday Break, and be sure to sign up for an audition slot outside of room 212! Hope to see you at auditions!

The second round of the Continental Math League will take place during lunch on Monday, December 9.  Grade 8 students will test in room 103 and grade 7 will test in room 109.  All students are welcome to try, even if you did not participate the first time.

Math Club will also meet after school until 4:00 on Monday, December 9 in room 109.  Students will have a math style activity making a wreath that transforms into a star.

Late Arrival / Early Dismissal Procedure:  Parents please send a note to school with your student if they need to leave early for an appointment or other reason.  Please remind your student to bring the note to the office upon arrival (prior to first bell class) where they will receive a pass to leave class early and wait at the office until you arrive.  If this procedure is followed, your student will be sent outside to meet you upon your arrival.  In place of a note to school you may email Mrs. Murray prior to 8:30   [email protected].
