Biographical Information:
HEAD COACH - ERIK VANAGS is a history teacher at Mariemont High School. He taught and coached for 10 years at Milford, his alma mater, before coming to Mariemont in 2007. He received an undergraduate degree in History from Ohio University and a Master’s degree in Education at Xavier.

This is Erik's first position as a head varsity coach. He served as an interim head coach in 2011 before receiving a full appointment as head coach in 2012. The Warriors have won 2 CHL Titles in the past 3 seasons; 2013 and 2015 with 7-0 records both times.  Additionally in 2014 they won a District Title.  The combined record over the past 5 seasons is 59 - 24 - 10.

Coach Vanags has been involved in the game of soccer at various levels for 39 years. He enjoys coaching and training while he still attempts to play a few times a week. He avidly watches the English Premier League and supports Arsenal. He is looking forward to a great season and loves working with the student-athletes.

His wife Lisa, is also a teacher, but at Sycamore. They live in Mariemont, with their son, Noah.
