Biographical Information:
Mrs. Lauren (Sylvester) Dammel has taught in Mariemont City School district for nine years. Lauren received her undergraduate degree in special education and gifted and talented (K-12), from the University of Dayton, in Dayton, OH. After college, Lauren participated the Lalanne service program, (affiliated with Americore) where she spent two years starting a special education program in Cleveland, OH, as an Intervention Specialist at Metro Catholic Parish School. Lauren earned her Master’s Degree in the Teacher as Leader concentration, while working in Cleveland, from the University of Dayton. Lauren worked with students in fourth through eighth grade. Upon the completion of her post-collegiate service work, Lauren taught at Mariemont Elementary for four years. Lauren currently resides in the Mt. Lookout area with her husband, Justin. She participates on the teacher evaluation committee, for the district. The goal of the committee is to collaborate in the development and review of the Mariemont teacher evaluation system.
