December 17 Update

December 17, 2020

In order for the district to assess the impact of the extended break and the number of COVID-19 cases and quarantines amongst students and staff, the Mariemont City School District will remain in Tier 2 for the week of January 4 - January 8.

It is our intention to return to Tier 1 beginning on January 11. Obviously, this will be dependent on the current state of COVID-19 and the impact it is having on our district at that time. We will communicate the week of January 4 to confirm our operating tier moving forward.

You can find the instructional blue/gold schedule by clicking on the "What to Expect in Tier 2" posters below.

As always, you can check out the latest information on the district's RESTART Update webpage.

Childcare Contingency Plans

The instructional tiers were designed to be somewhat fluid to allow a shift from tier to tier as conditions change and the need arises. All indications are that the winter months could prove to be difficult with COVID-19 cases on the rise. As a reminder to families - especially families with young children - please have contingency childcare plans in place in case the district needs to shift to a tier that may have students working remotely (sometimes or all the time) on relatively short notice.

Report Positive Tests and Quarantines

Please remember to inform the school district of positive COVID-19 cases, or quarantines because of close contact with a COVID-19-positive individual - even during winter break. It is important for the district to continue tracking this data even when the student has not been in school.

To report a positive test or quarantine, please email the district's COVID-19 Incident Commander, Brent Wise, at [email protected]..
