August 20 Update

Although Hamilton County remains at Risk Level 2 (orange) and our local data has remained consistent, out of an abundance of caution, the Mariemont City School District will start the school year for all students in Tier 2 (hybrid in-person/remote model) on Monday, August 31, and will continue in Tier 2 until at least Friday, September 11. Opening in Tier 2 will allow the school district to implement and practice safety protocols with smaller numbers of students, work out unforeseen challenges and obstacles, practice remote learning and continue to monitor COVID-19 data while school is open.

The district hopes to transition to Tier 1 soon as the long as there are no significant changes in COVID-19 data at the county and/or local level and/or local and state guidance. This will continue to be monitored and evaluated, and the next planned announcement regarding our tiered instructional model will be on Thursday, September 10.

Information about what to expect in Tier 2 can be found by clicking the links below and visiting the school district’s RESTART webpage at www.mariemontschools.org/restart.

Please be reminded that all students will participate in required Phase-In Days on August 26, 27 or 28. Additional information will be emailed soon from your building principal.
