March 18 Update (4:30 p.m.)

Mariemont City Schools community,

I want to again thank you for your patience as we work through the Coronavirus situation as it relates to our school district. We will continue to keep you updated.

Our staff are currently preparing for the Remote Learning Program which begins after spring break on Monday, March 30. They have been participating in virtual professional development sessions and are creating lessons to have ready for our students as we get closer to March 30.

Our intention is to make this as seamless and painless as possible for all involved. When we begin remote learning, encourage your students to take an active approach to instruction, to engage with their teachers and to seek help when necessary. All staff will be available via email throughout the duration of the extended closure. Our goal is to provide as much continuity with instruction as possible during this time.

On the Coronavirus Updates webpage you will find one-page documents that overview what you can expect your student’s daily remote learning schedule to look like. There also are links for parent and student guidance for the Remote Learning Program along with some other helpful information.

Please also continue checking the Frequently Asked Questions document which lives on the Coronavirus Updates webpage. This document is updated daily as we continue to receive questions from you about the Coronavirus situation and the extended closure. Should you have any questions not addressed in the FAQ document, you can email them to [email protected] or submit them through the Coronavirus Updates webpage.

The Coronavirus Updates webpage is also the place to go to find helpful links such as the Angel Fund donation site and the Extended Closure lunch form. Should you, or someone you know, need additional assistance during the extended closure, please contact Director of Student Services Tricia Buchert ([email protected]).

Again, I just want to reiterate my appreciation to our staff, students, parents and the entire Mariemont City Schools community for your support and cooperation during these unprecedented times. I cannot wait until we are all back together, but until then, we will keep you as informed as possible.
