Ten Mariemont High School Student Athletes Sign Athletics Letters of Intent
Ten Mariemont High School seniors signed letters of intent to continue their athletics careers at the collegiate level. Sam Beeler, Quinn Benner, Tom Buchert, Tyler Ching, Barrett Lindell, Ethan Malafa, Jack Mileham, Michael Napolitano, Jasmine Teeters and Jacqueline Young all celebrated Signing Day with a ceremony on Thursday, joined by their families, coaches, teammates and classmates.
 
The 10 spring signees join classmate Maddy Murphy who previously signed a letter of intent to play soccer at Eastern Kentucky University.
 
Together the 11 Mariemont High School signees encompass the largest athletics signing class in Mariemont High School history. The athletes will play eight different sports and attend 11 different schools in six states and Washington, D.C.
 
Sam Beeler
Cross Country | Ohio University
In 2021, Beeler was named the Cincinnati Hills League (CHL) Runner of the Year and the D2 Runner of the Year while earning First Team All-CHL and First Team All-City honors. He led the Warriors to a District championship, regional runner-up finish and 12th place at the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) meet.




 


Quinn Benner
Baseball | College of Charleston
Benner was a four-year letterwinner and was named First Team All-CHL and First Team All-City in 2021.






 


Tom Buchert
Golf | Transylvania University
During the fall of his senior season, Buchert was named First Team All-CHL and Second Team All-City and was a District finalist.








Tyler Ching
Cross Country/Track and Field | Grinnell College
Ching recorded a season personal-best time of 18:16.00 at the Princeton meet on September 25.









Barrett Lindell
Lacrosse | Marietta College
Lindell was named Second Team All-CHL in lacrosse in 2021 while also earning First Team All-CHL honors in football during his senior campaign.








Ethan Malafa
Football | Butler University
Malafa was named Second Team All-CHL and Second Team All-Southwest Ohio and was selected to participate in the North/South and East/West Senior All-Star Games. He also is an accomplished basketball player where he was named First Teal All-CHL, First Team All-City, Second Team All-District and Honorable Mention All-Ohio during the 2021-22 season.






Jack Mileham
Football | Centre College
Mileham earned First Team All-CHL and Second Team All-Southwest Ohio honors as a senior.









Michael Napolitano
Baseball | Catholic University
Napolitano was a four-year letterwinner and was named First Team All-CHL and First Team All-City in 2021.









Jasmine Teeters
Diving | University of the Cumberlands
Teeters qualified for the district championship during the 2022 campaign.









Jacqueline Young
Swimming | Villanova University
Young finished 10th at the OHSAA meet in the 100 Breaststroke and 9th in the 200 medley relay. She was named the CHL Swimmer of the Year and earned First Team All-City accolades as a senior.
