Mariemont High School athletics teams continue their success in the postseason. Check out this week’s update for each team still competing.
Boys Cross Country
The boys cross country team finished 10th in the OHSAA state meet on Oct. 7. Sam Beeler earned All-State recognition by finishing 26th with a time of 16:29.3. Bennett Turan (17:13.7), Santi Biro (17:22.1), Ben Fahnestock (17:23), Henry Buck (17:33), Andrew Chen (18:01.1) and Martin Eisenhauer (19:46) rounded out the Warriors team.
Girls Cross Country
Lily Bauer was named to the All-State team after finishing 29th in the state meet with a time of 19:31.4.
Boys Soccer
The boys soccer team won two more games to book its place in the OHSAA State Championship game on Saturday, Nov. 14. The Warriors downed Botkins 4-0 to win the regional championship on Nov. 4 before a 5-0 shutout of Wheelersburg in the Final Four. The team is a perfect 21-0-0 on the year with one final game left. Girls Soccer
The girls soccer team ended its postseason run with a regional championship loss to Cincinnati Country Day on Nov. 7. The team finished the year with an incredible 17-1-3 record.
