1. Colleges began visiting this week. If you’re a sophomore, junior, or senior, and see a college you’re interested in, please consider attending. You can see a list of the visits in your Scoir account, on the screen in the hub, and on the daily announcements. Remember to get your teacher’s permission before attending. All visits are in the CCPC. This is a great way for students to demonstrate interest in a college! Tomorrow, we have Miami University, Hamilton Campus during 4th bell. 2. Sources of Strength has a meeting at lunch on today. We'll be meeting on the patio outside the art room. See GroupMe for details.
3. Freshman class shirts are on sale now. Order through the Google form linked on flyers in Freshman teachers' classrooms. Cost is $15, and money should be given to one of the following people: Mila Zanardo, Payton MacRae, Trevor Mart, or Eloise Letton. SHIRTS MUST BE ORDERED BY THIS FRIDAY AT 3:00 pm.
4. If you’re interested in joining Leadership Council to help the lives of our community, please speak to Mr. Cummins about applying. You can also talk to one of the Leadership Council officers: Ethan Dill, Braylin Ludwig, Lilly Sharp, or Ryder Osgood to get your application. All applications are due by September 14th.
5. If you are interested in joining the International Club, formerly known as the AFS club, there will be an interest meeting today during lunch in room 156. Please contact Mrs. Howard for details. Hope to see you there!
6. There will be a student council meeting at lunch today in Señora Stinnett/Mr. Strotman’s room. If you are unable to attend or have questions, please reach out to Ellison VanScoy, Izzy Harris, or Lizzie Feeney.
7. Seniors, make sure you read your CCPC Communications email sent last Friday, especially if you are interested in the special scholarships where MHS can nominate one or two seniors for scholarships at Davidson College, Indiana University, North Carolina State, University of Virginia, and UNC Charlotte. You must complete the MHS nomination application by September 13 and return it to Mrs. Leszczuk.
8. The Mariemont Chess Club informational meeting will be held during lunch on Tuesday, September 14th in Room 152. All grades and ability levels are welcome!
9. If you are interested in joining Geography Club or are already a member, there will be an informational meeting today at lunch. The meeting will be in the upper gym area.
10. Anyone interested in auditioning for this year's Cappies team should see or email Mrs. Lowery. Audition essays are due tomorrow. Please see Mrs. Lowery or Alexandra Purdy with questions. There will also be an informational meeting today at lunch.
