ANNOUNCEMENTS -- Friday, October 4, 2019
1. The following colleges will be visiting the CCPC located in the main office area. Students interested in learning more about these colleges/universities are encouraged to attend.

Today:
Washington & Lee University – 5th bell
The Miami Regional Universities – 6th bell

Monday:
Bowling Green – 1st bell
DePauw University – 2nd bell
Wolfford College – 3rd bell
University of Denver – 5th bell

2. MHS Investment club is now enrolling new members for the 2019-2020 school year. This unique stock focused investment club gives students the opportunity to learn the basics of investing in the stock market while managing real MSF funds. As well, the club includes a competitive simulation component in which students can compete for a $500 college scholarship and other prizes for top finishers.
Be sure to attend the next meeting Monday night, October 14 at 7pm. Stop by the office for more information or talk to Oliver Peterman or Bren Findley.

3. National Honor Society will have a mandatory full membership meeting on Thursday, Oct. 10 from 3-3:30 in the auditorium. All new and current members should attend. We will be organizing for the upcoming Induction Ceremony.

4. Register for the Warrior Run happening tomorrow, October 5th. The Warrior Run benefits the 1N5 organization which helps to fund mental health programs at our school. Registration enters you into a drawing to win $50 to Jersey Mikes, $20 to Graters, $25 to Skyline, $25 to Panera, or $20 to Starbucks. If you don't want to run, you can volunteer and get service hours. It's $10 to register and can be done online with the link on Blackboard. If you want to register with cash, you can give it to Mrs. Zaya.

5. Attention Key Club members, volunteers are needed to help with set up for the Warrior Run tomorrow Oct. 5th at the Bell tower at 9:30. Please sign up on the Key Club bulletin board in Mrs. Bell’s room.

6. SPANISH CLUB & AFS INTERNATIONAL CLUB: Please pay your club dues today- thanks to those that have.

7. Second round of voting for Homecoming Court is today, Friday October 4th. You can find the announcement on your Blackboard counseling page. Complete the Google form and cast your vote for who you want to be on this year's MHS Homecoming Court.

8. Do you want to wear your favorite jersey to school or dress in colorful attire? Well, next week is your chance. Show your Warrior pride by participating in Spirit Week. Monday is Groutfit Day, Tuesday is Tie-Dye Tuesday, Wednesday is jersey day, Thursday is blue and gold day and Friday is class t-shirt day!

9. Any student planning to bring a guest to Homecoming, please make sure to pick up a permission form from the front desk in the office. Guest forms are now due back to Mr. Block.

10. Junior class shirts are for sale for $15. You can Venmo Avery Messner or pay in cash to any of the officers.

11. Senior shirts are being sold for $15. Payments can be made in cash or through Venmo. Contact Rye Walker, Jacquelyn Kauffman, Payton Smith, Wiley Lyons, or Kendall Dewey.

12. The PTO will once again sell corsages and boutonnieres for the upcoming Homecoming dance! Thank you to Events and Florals of Mariemont for assisting with the sale. Corsages are $21, and feature on-trend, sturdy white button mums with sweet, darling white daisies, and a delicate greens embellishment. Boutonnieres are $11 and will feature sturdy white button mums with delicate greens. Custom orders are available by calling Donna Lennox at Events & Florals of Mariemont 513-271-2266. The PTO receives a portion of all sales. Flower pick up will be in the school office immediately after school on Homecoming Friday - October 10, from 2:45-3:30 p.m.
