Great Oaks students should check with their teachers for any alternate arrangements.  Many colleges and universities pay considerable attention to second semester grades.  Everyone needs to continue to do his or her best.

Seniors may be exempted from one or more of their second  semester exams by fulfilling each of the following requirements:

    1. Earn a minimum of a “B” in the 3rd and 4th quarter in the subject(s) to be exempted.
    2. Successfully complete the senior project in English.
    3. Maintain acceptable school attendance per the 12th grade attendance policy in the Student Handbook.
    4. Maintain appropriate behavior standards.

The official exam exemption list will be posted on Friday, May 16th, at 3:25 p.m.  Please check the official exemption list.  Do not assume that you are exempt from any exam(s).  Just because students have a “B” or higher for third and fourth quarter, it does not mean that they will automatically be exempted. Exemptions can be revoked after May 16th at the discretion of the administration in conjunction with teacher recommendations.  Seniors may receive a forced failure and place graduation in jeopardy for skipping an exam.
