1. Planning on attending the Snowball dance on January 22nd?  Tickets will be on sale Wednesday, January 12th through Wednesday, January 19th.   You can find the link to buy tickets on your class Schoology page.  Tickets are $15. The dance will be in the gym and starts at 9:00 pm. You will receive your tickets on Thursday, the 20th during Warrior bell and you will need to bring them with you to the dance.

If you plan on bringing a guest, please pick up a guest form from the office and return it to Mr. Block.  You cannot bring a guest without filling out a guest form. See Mrs. Stinnett with any questions!
 
2. Did you know that pharmacists work in many different settings such as hospitals, research labs, and pharmacies?  And did you know that pharmacists contribute to the research and testing of new drugs?   If you are interested in learning more about this career, then join us at our next Career Chat today during Warrior bell in room 26. I’m excited that we will be featuring a current pharmacist as well as the Assistant Director of Admissions in the UC College of Pharmacy.
 
3. Over the weekend, the Mariemont Swimming and Diving team competed in the Southwest Ohio Classic, the largest high school swim meet in the USA. Out of the 126 teams that were represented, the Mariemont girls’ team placed 8th in the varsity rankings and 9th in the junior varsity rankings, and the boy's team placed 38th in the varsity rankings. Congrats to event finalists Jacqueline Young, Lydia Eberlein, Maeve Sweeney, Aida Thoman, Julia Bohl, Ava Ellis, Mia Latimer, and William Pettifer. The Swimming and Diving team will be back in action at home this Thursday at 5:30 PM. The 2022 senior class will be honored before the meet. We hope to see you there!
 
4. The Red Cross has announced that COVID-19, weather, and staffing limitations have caused the worst blood shortage in over a decade and is declaring its first-ever national blood crisis.  The Senior Class will be sponsoring its annual Hoxworth Blood Drive on Thursday Feb. 3rd.  Any student 16 years of age or older and weighing at least 110 lbs.
