ANNOUNCEMENTS -- Thursday, September 1, 2022

  1. Are you a member of Key Club? Do you want to be a member of Key Club? If you don’t know what Key Club is, it is a volunteer organization that makes a difference in the lives of others. Please give your 13 dollars in club dues to Mrs. Macleod by September 23rd.

  2. Don’t forget auditions for the upcoming play Blithe Spirit are after school next Wednesday. Audition form and materials are available through the QR code seen to my right and on the hub board. Memorize that monologue and break a leg. See Mrs. Eckroth or Mrs. Mullenhour with questions. 

  3. Colleges love Mariemont High School and our students! Please plan to attend the college visits that you are interested in. All college visits will be held in the CCPC, and all sophomores, juniors, and seniors are welcome. You must get permission from your teacher before you can attend. You can view an entire list of colleges who will be coming to MHS on your Scoir account if you go to the events and deadlines section from the menu. On Tuesday, September 6, the University of Tennessee is visiting 6th bell, on Wednesday, September 7, we will host Denison University during 3rd bell, as well as the University of Alabama in 5th bell.

  5. National Honor Society invites you to walk with Team Sam at the annual Walk to Defeat ALS on Sunday September 25th at Harper Meadows in Winton Woods. Team Sam is named for Samantha Telgkamp, who was recently diagnosed with ALS. Join the rest of the Mariemont community to support her and her family. All walkers must register online and all donations will go towards ALS research and directly helping people with ALS in Southern Ohio. Scan the QR code to learn more about Team Sam and register to walk.

  6. If you ordered a spirit club white out T-Shirt and have not received it yet, please stop by Coach Veeneman’s Room (80) before school to pick it up.

  7. Show off your Random knowledge at Quiz Team! Quiz team will have a meeting today during lunch in Mrs. MacLeod's room 151. This club is open to anyone who loves trivia and a little competition. We will compete against other schools in the district on Monday's after school and will meet every Thursday during lunch to practice.
