Mariemont High School Inducts four into the Kusel Hall of Fame

The Mariemont High School Athletic Department inducted the 2023 class into the Doc Kusel Hall of Fame at halftime of  the Oakwood at Mariemont home opener football game on August 18, 2023.
 
Bill Dunning ’02 was a two-sport leader for the Warriors in football and lacrosse.  A running back and linebacker for Tom Crosby’s football Warriors, Bill broke his foot in the football preseason of the 2001 season and missed the entire season but was still elected to the East-West All Star game. In lacrosse, Bill was named Third Team All-State during his sophomore and junior seasons, and was selected Second Team All-State his senior season, which was also the first season that lacrosse was a school sport at Mariemont. Bill was Mariemont’s first All-State award winner in lacrosse. Bill was elected captain of both the football and lacrosse teams his senior year.
 
Hannah (Martin) Hanley ’05 played basketball, cross country and golf over her Warrior career.  Hannah battled through two ACL injuries in her career. She was named Second Team All-Cincinnati Hills League (CHL) in basketball in three of her seasons, and was also a member of the 2002 District runner-up team. Along with four years of basketball, Hannah ran cross country and golfed for the Warriors.
 
Sean Stirsman ’08 earned six varsity letters for the Warriors with three each in football and lacrosse. He was a three-year starter in both sports, including the 2005 football regional playoff team, and picked up All-CHL honors. Sean was a member of the 2007 State Champion lacrosse team and was selected as the championship game Defensive MVP and was a First Team All-State honoree.
 
Courtney Robinson ’18 was a four-year starter for the Warriors lacrosse team. She earned Second Team All-District recognition as a freshman and a sophomore. As a junior, Courtney was named First Team All-State, First Team All-Region and First Team All-City. Courtney led the Warriors to a state title during her senior season and was named First Team All-America, Second Team All-State, First Team All-Region and First Team All-City.
