As you are likely aware, some COVID-19 guidance and mandates have been changing in the past few days; however, it is important to note that there has been no change to the guidance and mandates for schools, and there are not expected to be any changes for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Ohio Department of Health, Hamilton County Department of Health and Ohio Governor's office all have advised schools to maintain current prevention protocols for the remainder of the school year.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine issued the following statement:
"As you may have seen, the Centers for Disease Control recently revised their recommendations around mask guidance for individuals who are fully vaccinated. While Ohio will be amending its health orders to comply with this new CDC guidance, in order to maintain consistency and model safe behavior for Ohio’s students, these changes do not affect the existing order requiring the use of facial coverings and other health protocols in our schools. With limited numbers of students vaccinated, it is important that we continue these safety measures through the end of the current school year."

The Mariemont City School District will continue with its existing COVID-19 protocols and procedures for the remainder of the school year. These protocols and procedures will be reevaluated over the summer months in the preparation for the start of the 2021-2022 school year. Thank you for your continued cooperation and support.
