ANNOUNCEMENTS -- Tuesday, October 1, 2019


1. The following colleges will be visiting the CCPC located in the main office area. Students interested in learning more about these colleges/universities are encouraged to attend.

Today:
Colgate University – 6th bell

Wednesday:
University of Richmond – 1st bell
Shawnee State – 7th bell

Thursday:
A representative from the Navy will be here from 9:30-11:00 to meet with interested students.

2. Register for the Warrior Run happening on October 5th. The Warrior Run benefits the 1N5 organization which helps to fund mental health programs at our school. Registration enters you into a drawing to win $50 to Jersey Mikes, $20 to Graters, $25 to Skyline, $25 to Panera, or $20 to Starbucks. If you don't want to run, you can volunteer and get service hours. It's $10 to register and can be done online with the link on Blackboard. If you want to register with cash, you can give it to Mrs. Zaya.

3. Attention Key Club members, volunteers are needed to help with set up for the Warrior Run on Oct. 5th at the Bell tower at 9:30. Please sign up on the Key Club bulletin board in Mrs. Bell’s room.

4. Robotics Club will meet Wednesday in Mr. Rafales room after school. Anyone who is interested is encouraged to come.

5. Seniors are reminded that Graduate Service will be here today during advisory bell, 12:30 in the auditorium, to discuss senior graduation orders. You will also be verifying your diploma name at that time as well.

6. Juniors will meet in the Gym today during Warrior Bell, at 12:35 sharp.

7. Vote for your Warriors for The Enquirer's Players of the Week! Sam Beeler Cross Country, Jack Neville Golf, Bates Gall Soccer, Melanie Weiss and Lucy Neville in Tennis. Vote until noon on Friday at cincinnati.com

8. Congratulations to the following athletes on their performance at the St. X Invitational meet from this past Saturday:
Lily Bauer placed 4th in the Division I varsity race
Boys Varsity placed 1st in the Division II/III race with a score of 61 (Sam Beeler, Bennett Turan, Andrew Chen, Santiago Biro, Casey Dutro, Nick Morgan, Ray Lizak, William Pettifer, Wesley Adams, and Christian Rasmussen).
Both Sam Beeler and Bennett Turan were finished in the top ten for their race.

9. Part-time positions are available at Trevor Furbay, a men’s clothing store in Mariemont. For details, see the flyer posted on the Bulletin Board in the counseling area.

10. Any student planning to bring a guest to Homecoming, please make sure to pick up a permission form from the front desk in the office. Guest forms are due back to Mr. Block by Friday, October 4th.

11. Junior class shirts are for sale for $15. You can venmo Avery Messner or pay in cash to any of the officers.

12. Calling all kings, queens, princes, and princesses: First round of voting for Homecoming court will begin today, Tuesday, October 1st. Voting will be open until 10:00 this evening. You can find the announcement on your Blackboard class counseling page. Complete the Google form and cast your vote for who you want to be on this year's MHS Homecoming court.
