9/27/19 Friday Announcements

The 10th Annual Warrior Run; A Race For Life will be held at the Bell Tower Park, right here in Mariemont, on Saturday, October 5th.  Students who run, walk, or volunteer for this event will help raise money for important causes and activities right here at MJHS.  Grab your friends and join Mr. Campbell and Ms. Alexander among other teachers and staff who will be at this event for fun, food, and a movie in the park after dark. The girls’ junior high soccer team won another impressive game over Princeton, 3-0. Two goals were scored by Emmy Tepe and one by Laney Willett. Macy Hampton and Erin Wilder shut them down in the goal. The girls team is now 9-2.

The Lady Warriors tennis team won yesterday against the Villa-Cardinal Pacelli.  Singles wins from Katie Whitmore, Laurel Back, Mila Zanardo, Delaney Kintner, and Erin O”Donnell.  Doubles wins from teams Cece Kuwatch and Lucy Glassmeyer, Ashley Bauer and Lindsey Frye, Veronica Drake and Brynna O’Brien, Grace Berlin and Caroline Buck.

Volunteers are needed to help set up for the Warrior Run next Saturday, October 5th from 9:30 am-noon.  We would love for any MJHS student to help, even if you aren't joining Builders Club.  Please contact Mrs. Parr to sign-up to volunteer.  Proceeds from the Warrior Run fund our mental health programs such as Sources of Strength here at Mariemont Schools.  Go Warriors!

Students who would like to join Builders Club may sign up using this link.  Builders Club is open to all MJHS students who have a passion for volunteering, serving communities, and having fun!  We volunteer at events such as the Warrior Run, Luminaria, & help groups such as Matthew 25.  Please contact Mrs. Parr if you have any questions!  

All junior high students are invited to attend the junior high tailgate at Kusel Stadium Tonight 4:30-6:30. The cost is $5. Pizza and snacks will be served. Please see the attached    flier  for more information or to sign up  sign up sign up   sign up  to donate food or time. Junior High Night at the high school football game will follow the tailgate at 7 p.m. 

Late Arrival / Early Dismissal Procedure:  Parents please send a note to school with your student if they need to leave early for an appointment or other reason.  Please remind your student to bring the note to the office upon arrival (prior to first bell class) where they will receive a pass to leave class early and wait at the office until you arrive.  If this procedure is followed, your student will be sent outside to meet you upon your arrival.  In place of a note to school you may email Mrs. Murray prior to 8:30   [email protected].
