Extra Credit

Extra Credit Policy: From time to time, Mr. Wolfford will offer Extra Credit opportunities when you can learn government outside the classroom. These will range in value from 10 to 15 points.  Students can complete no more than two (2) extra credit gigs per quarter. Details of these offers will be posted here, and will usually require you to type an original piece that is subject to Turn-It-In.Com.

Government Roundtable

Dec. 16 or 18

The Government Roundtable provides an opportunity for a casual group to have a meaningful discussion on unique, in-depth articles.  These lengthy articles cover a common theme and will take you about an hour to read. The 30-minute Roundtable (3pm-3:30pm) is limited to 10 students in each of two session.  Sign up by emailing Mr. Wolfford (dwolfford@mariemontschools.org) between 12:00.01am on Dec. 9, and 3pm on Dec 11.  In the email, simply list your full name, preferred roundtable date, and second preference if you can make it.  The first ten to sign up via email for each session will be given articles preceding the Roundtable.

At the Roundtable, students will take a brief quiz (5-7 minutes) and discuss the articles.  Success on the quiz and active discussion will be worth up to 15 extra credit points.
