Mr. Northrop served during the Korean War as a
Storekeeper 3rd Class. He served on the
USS Warrick,
a cargo ship. His basic training was at Great Lakes Naval Training
and then he was sent to Meyer Island Shipyards in San Francisco. He
was responsible for moving food and goods across the Pacific to re-supply
troops. His ship moved from Oakland, California to
Sasebo, Japan. He also
served on the
USS Orleck.
He achieved the rank of SK3g. |
