Mr. Maxwell served in the Pacific during World War II in
the
37th Infantry
Division. He was a medic in the "Buckeye Division". Spent
much of the time at the
Pasig River in
Manila. He was wounded in
action and received the
Purple Heart,
American Theater Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon with 2 Bronze
Stars, Bronze Arrowheads, and World War II Victory Medal. He
achieved the rank of T/5 (Technician 5th Grade). |
