A Word from our Warriors

Ben Klawitter, Max Geers, Andrew Shriver and Owen Dingle

   

Ben Klawitter is a senior at Mariemont High School.  He plays the position of inside linebacker.  He has been playing football for the past nine three years. 

Favorite Memory:  "Playing with a cast!"

Who do you look up to on the team and why?  "Daniel because he has stepped up on both sides of the ball!"

Who is your favorite coach and why?  "Coach Leone because no matter how much I mess up, he still believes in me!"

What do you hope to accomplish in 2017?  "Win a playoff game!"

What I'd like to say to my parents:  "Thank you for letting me play even after breaking my thumb!"

 

Max Geers is a senior at Mariemont High School.  He plays on the offensive and defensive line.  He has been playing football since 3rd grade.

Favorite Memory:  "When I ran the ball against Goshen in 3rd grade!"

Who do you look up to on the team and why?  "Wally Renie because his heart is always in football and I truly believe he should have been a captain this year because he puts others in front of himself and is a true leader!".

Favorite Coach - "Coach Barr because he has been there for me through everything inside and outside of football!"

What do you hope to accomplish in 2017:  "Become closer to my senior teammates and make a brotherhood with them!"

What I'd like to say to my parents:  "Thank you and I love you.  I wouldn't be where I am today without  you and mom.... you are the most beautiful woman in the world!" 

 

Andrew Shriver is also a senior at Mariemont High School.  He plays offensive and defensive line.  He has been playing football for the past ten years.  

Favorite Memory:  "When I got a sack within the last minute of our Superbowl game!"

Who do you look  up to on the team and why?  "Nate because he has a lot of heart!"

Who is your favorite coach and why?  "Coach Leone because I like his chinstrap."

What do you hope to accomplish in 2017?  "Earn a starting spot on defense!"

What I'd like to say to my parents:  "Thank you for coming to all of my games and supporting me no matter what the conditions!"  

 

Owen Dingle is a senior at Mariemont High School.  He plays the position of wide receiver.  He started playing football at the age of 7, took a leave for 13 years, and has returned for his senior year!  

Favorite Memory: "Onside kick recovery!"

Who do you look up to on the team and why?  "Jacob Gunner because he's the most determined young man I know."

Who is your favorite coach and why?: Coach Conley because he's got the best attitude!"

What do you hope to accomplish in 2017?:  "Enjoy my last year with my high school friends!"

What I'd like to say to my parents:  "I love you guys but at least when I go to college, you won't have to deal with me wearing my shoes inside!"
