Week 10 (October 27, 2017 vs. Deer Park): Our Mariemont Warriors finished the season with a big win against Deer Park. Tonight proved that a miserable night of wind and rain couldn't keep even the most loyal of fans from supporting our "Men of Mariemont" in their final game of the season, and the final high school game for 15 seniors. We are proud of your efforts, teamwork and all out sportsmanship throughout the season. Thank you for the memories boys!
Week 9 (October 20, 2017 vs. Wyoming): As our Mariemont seniors walked across the football field to be recognized with their families just before gametime, there was an element of excitement and adrenaline in the air. The boys were preparing to battle in what many considered to be the "biggest game of the season." However, the undefeated Wyoming Cowboys came ready to play and the final score did not truly depict how hard our boys fought in trying to bring home a win. Final score 27-0. Our Warriors will prepare for the last game of the season which will take place at Deer Park on Friday. GO WARRIORS!
Week 8 (October 13, 2017 vs. Taylor): Although the Mariemont Warriors seemed to be a little slow "out of the gate" in the first several minutes of last nights game, they quickly regrouped and were able to leave their mark on Taylor Yellow Jackets with a final score of 35-0. Mariemont will now prepare for a big game against the Wyoming Cowboys on Friday, October 20th at Kusel Field. Come out and support our Seniors for Senior Night! GO WARRIORS!
Week 7 (October 6, 2017 vs. Reading): For Mariemont fans, coaches and players, the difference between the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat came down to matter of seconds. The Warriors fought hard, scoring first, then fighting to defend a Reading running game and offense that was persistent throughout the four quarters. The Warriors were leading the scoreboard in the fourth quarter when a Mariemont interception at 1:49 remaining seemed to give Mariemont some confidence that they would leave the game victorious. However, Reading scored with 23 seconds remaining and the Warriors efforts to regain the lead fell just short. Final Score Reading 23, Mariemont 21, bringing Mariemont's record to 4-3.
Week 6 (September 28, 2017 vs. Indian Hill): Mariemont certainly fought hard on Thursday night but came up short and suffered their second loss of the season to the Indian Hill Braves. They will now prepare for Homecoming Week and the task of defeating the Reading Blue Devils. Keep your heads up and GO WARRIORS!
Week 5 (September 22, 2017 vs. Madeira): It was an uphill battle for the Mariemont Warriors from the beginning of play on Friday night. The Madeira Mustangs applied immense pressure in the first two quarters and went into the locker room at halftime with a visibly confident aura and a score of 14-0. And then... it happened...small glimpses of hope that our Warriors had not given up. A touchdown in the 3rd quarter seemed to awaken the Warriors and they decided that they still had something to prove and were not going down without a fight. Maybe it was the "One Heartbeat" voice in their head or the realization that their dream of post season play was likely on the line; whatever it was, these boys came alive and scored three more touchdowns in the 4th quarter, while also preventing Madeira from scoring in the second half. Final Score 28-14. The Warriors will travel again on Thursday, this time to Indian Hill to take on the Braves! Join them for the annual POW WOW at the log cabin in Terrace Park on Wednesday, 8pm. GO WARRIORS!

Week 4 (September 15, 2017 vs. Finneytown): Mariemont ended Friday night's game with a third consecutive win. Final score, Mariemont 44, Finneytown 7. The Warriors will now focus their efforts on nearby neighbor, Madeira (Mustangs) whose record is 2-2 including their first CHL loss to Indian Hill this week(35-3). Kickoff 7pm, Friday, September 22nd at Madeira. GO WARRIORS!
Week 3 (September 8, 2017 vs. Shroder Paideia): “Our biggest opponent on the field this week was us. We went out and did what we had to do in this game and it resulted in a big win.” Mariemont will compete in their first league game of the season on Friday, September 15th against Finneytown at Kusel Stadium. Go Warriors!
Week 2 (September 1, 2017 vs. Blanchester):Although some might say the weather conditions were not ideal for Friday night football, it didn’t prevent our fans and cheerleaders from braving the weather to cheer on the Warriors! It quickly became clear, however, that our boys were going to have to push through much more than the remnants of Harvey to come out of this battle with Blanchester victorious! Coach Commins summed it up by saying, “We prepared on a short week without our starting QB, missed our seniors Monday and Tuesday, competed in torrential rains while handling the loss of our 2nd QB, and still fought to the end to earn a signature win!” Our “Men of Mariemont” left behind no doubt that the “One Heartbeat” attitude is what can propel the team to victory when faced with adversity and unexpected obstacles. Their perseverance resulted in a huge victory! The Warriors will host the Shroder Paideia Jaguars September 8th at Kusel Stadium, 7pm. GO WARRIORS!
Preparing for Blanchester:
"We will again face adversity this week with a very quality opponent and the weather will be a factor. We must play hard in all three phases of the game, do what we are coached to do and play the entire 48 minutes to have a chance for a victory. I know our Warriors will rise up!"
Week 1(Aug. 25, 2017 vs. Oakwood):
"I was very proud and happy of how we handled adversity, how well we competed against a quality opponent and how hard we played for the most part. We did a lot of great things ... but we have to learn to always play hard, to finish and that there is never a good time or a good way to do something wrong! We will be better from this experience."
