World History II
My name is Erik Vanags, pronounced best as if you were saying Vonigs. This is my first year at Mariemont and I am excited about joining such an excellent community.
This is my 12th year of teaching after spending the past 11 years in the Milford Exempted Village School District. In that time I have taught Math, Physical Education, Technology, and my favorite, History. In addition to teaching I also coach JV Boys' Soccer here at Mariemont.
I am married to Lisa, who is also a teacher at Sycamore High School. She teaches Spanish. We have a son, Noah. We love to travel and spend time outdoors.
I love to work with technology and I hope with time that this page will be a very useful resource for you.
