Terrace Park Elementary PTO Meeting
Tuesday, April 10, 2007

The meeting was called to order at 7:05 pm with 36 in attendance.

III. Mariemont School Board                                                                   Dr. Harris
Dr. Harris and four members of the school board gave a presentation on the current and future state of the district as well as 5th and 6th grade curriculum issues.

A.     Purchasing Considerations*
Lap top smart board and projector               $5150.00

The purchase of the above items, for a total cost of $22,265, was unanimously approved.

B.     Other Business – Sybil Schooler has agreed to be next year’s PTO vice president.

VI. Teacher’s Representative Report                                              Melissa Mathis
Thank you for the latest purchases. Melissa Rupe announced that Miller Steele’s art work was chosen to be exhibited for one year as part of the Raymond Walters College exhibit.

VIII. Old Business

A. PTO CommitteeChairs                                                                     Sonya Geers
Current chairs are being polled about next year’s positions. Please let Sonya know if you are interested in any of the positions.

B. Teacher Appreciation Week                                                           Sally Gaburo
April 23-27th this year. Flyer to follow in the Wednesday envelope.

C. Organized Parent opportunity
(see attached flyer) – This is not a fundraiser, but PTO will receive 25% of proceeds.

D. Ecolab fundraiser project
First checks totaled $105.00. The program will continue and expand to reach the community via The Village Views.

E. Scripps program
This is now offered year round.

F. Flying Pig finish line held on May 4th at 6 pm at TPE
