SCRIPS - LETS MAKE
SOME MONEY FOR TPE AND
MAKE OUR LIVES EASIER AT THE SAME TIME!
Hi...my name is Dawn Burke,
and I am the Scrips Coordinator for the 2006-2007 school year. I
know Scrips is new to many of you, and even for those who have
participated before, we are making some changes to make this
program more user friendly. This initial mailer will introduce
you to the program and get us started just in time for the
holiday season.
PRINT THE RETAILER LIST/ORDER FORM ONLINE. COMPLETE IT
INCLUDING YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS. TURN IT IN TO THE FRONT
OFFICE ALONG WITH YOUR CHECK.
What is Scrips?
Scrips is basically gift certificates and gift cards that you
purchase through TPE. There are hundreds of businesses to choose
from, including many of your favorite establishments.
How does TPE make money on Scrips?
The retailers offer our organization a discount on the cards.
So...you pay for and receive the same face value as you would if
you purchased it directly from the retailer. The discount is
passed onto TPE.
What retailers are participating? See
attached.
How do I participate? Through mid
December, we will be placing weekly Scrips orders. You simply
fill out the order form attached and turn it into the school. We
need to have your order form by end of day Thursday to be
included with the weekly Friday order. Those orders will be sent
out from Scrips on Monday, and should be in our hands by the
next Friday. I will deliver the Scripps orders directly to your
door the day they are received (how is that for service?). We
may continue weekly orders after Christmas depending on the
interest in the program.
How much can TPE earn from this
program? This an example of one order and the earnings for
TPE.
Example order:
2 cards to the Gap /$25 each/9% to TPE =
$4.50
1 card to Children’s Place / $25 /12% to TPE = $3.00
1 card to JC Penney's / $100 I 5% to TPE = $5.00
1 card to Don Pablo's I $25 / 8% to TPE = $2.00
5 cards to Red Robin / $10 each / 9% to TPE = $4.50
3 cards to Wendy’s / $10 each/ 9% to TPE = $2.70
Just this small order for places you
probably visit regularly would net TPE $21.70.
What is the key to this programs
success? I have talked with other coordinators of this
program, and many of them have earned THOUSANDS of dollars for
their schools (Last year we only earned about $400). They have
said that the key to success in this program is for families not
only to buy from this program for gifts for others, but for
people to get In the habit of using this program to buy cards
for themselves to be used at retailers that they frequent
regularly. Do you go to Red Robin about once a month? Pre-buy a
card. Go out for a date night to the movies in Milford? Pre-buy
a card. Do you know that you have a home improvement project on
the horizon that will involve multiple trips to Home Depot or
Lowes? Pre-buy a card!!!
Please feel free to e-mail (dawnburke@cinci.rr.com)

that wilt help boost the revenue from this program for our
school. Thank you in advance for support of this wonderful
program.
