¡Mi Clase Es Su Clase!

Description
Grade Level: 10, 11, 12             Course Credit:  1 credit, 5 periods/week full year
Students read lengthy essays, stories and simple books; students analyze, write and speak about the materials they read.  Through these exercises, students learn to use vocabulary, grammar and sentence structure with accuracy.  Students are introduced to more complicated grammar structures like subjunctive and conditional sentences so that they can speak correctly about personal feelings as well as express their own opinions.  Vocabulary activities, with emphasis on meaning and usage, are an important part of the course.  Students will learn about the cultures of the Spanish-speaking people by reading specific information, doing individual research, and preparing a cultural presentation.  Context, cultural acquisition and aural practice will be enhanced by periodicals, audio-visuals and computer technology.
