Mariemont Students Earn Recognition for Generosity and Selflessness

Several Mariemont City Schools students have been featured on the WCPO news this week for their generosity and willingness to help others during the holiday season. Terrace Park Elementary fourth graders created homemade holiday gifts to sell in order to raise money for Puerto Rico hurricane victims. The group has raised over $700 dollars with another sale taking place on Thursday, Dec. 14, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. at the Village Green Gazebo on Wyoming Avenue. You can watch their story and read more about their fundraising efforts here.

Additionally, Mariemont High School junior McKenzie Gampfer was recognized for the toy drive she originated to college gifts for the children of the Bethany House, a local homeless shelter. McKenzie is collecting money as well as gifts, food, clothing and personal hygeine items. She and her family will go shopping with the money raised and deliver all of the items to the Bethany House next week. You can see the story on McKenzie here.
