This school year
Mariemont High School will graduate its 70th class
since its inception in 1939.
Over the years MHS has successfully
striven to provide an outstanding comprehensive public education
for the children of this school community.
Foresight, careful planning,
outstanding educators, talented students and an engaged
educational community have contributed to making MHS one of
Ohio’s outstanding high schools.
While many schools struggle to attain
minimum standards, our students arrive at the high school
already quite proficient.
Our teachers are able to develop
higher order, critical thinking skills—and infuse those skills
into every aspect of a lesson.
We strive to challenge every
student at a level that matches his or her ability.
Our goal is to develop adaptive students.
We endeavor to
teach our students the skills that will enable them to thrive in
a variety of 21st century learning environments
throughout their lives.
We stress the ability to articulate
one’s ideas, critically evaluate those of one’s peers, and
engage in respectful dialogue with one another.
Mariemont High School is the only school
in Ohio and one of a very few in the nation who have been
recognized as National School of Excellence Blue Ribbon
School on four separate occasions.
Our students and alumni have long
benefitted from the culture of high expectations and excellence
in education that is ubiquitous throughout MHS.
The mission of
Mariemont High School is to provide the utmost in quality
education for our
scholars of today
by offering enriching opportunities for individual
achievement to inspire our
leaders of tomorrow.
