Bio:
“Coach Joe” is beginning his second year as a member of
the Physical Education department at Mariemont High School.
In addition to his teaching duties, Regruth is the
Varsity Baseball Head Coach.
Prior to Mariemont, Regruth coached baseball primarily on
the collegiate level, including stops at the University of
Cincinnati (3 years), Xavier University (10 years), as well as
being hired to initiate and develop the first intercollegiate
baseball program at the College of Mount St. Joseph (3 years).
He has also coached on the high school level at Turpin,
St. Xavier and Sycamore, in addition to coaching in the Midland
summer baseball organization.
Regruth graduated from both Turpin High
School and the International School of Brussels (Belgium) before
attending both Tulane and Xavier Universities.
He played baseball for the Green Wave and Musketeers and
earned a BS in Education and a Master of Education from Xavier.
Regruth holds teaching licenses in Physical Education,
Health, Adapted Physical Education and History.

Course Description:
Freshman Physical Education is designed to introduce the
student to a variety of activities and encourage him/her to
continue with many of them throughout life.
Some of the activities in this class include weight
training, fitness activities, football, soccer, floor hockey,
softball, volleyball and team handball.
