Student Lunch Accounts
Mariemont City Schools’ lunch service is offered through an
electronic meal ID system.
With this system, each student has their own account and
parents have a convenient, secure and accurate way to prepay
money into their child’s lunch account.
Through the food service office, parents also have the
capability of obtaining a record of your child’s food purchases;
putting limits on the type of food you want your child to
purchase and monitoring special “food” medical concerns.
If a student’s lunch account gets low, you can receive an email
reminder. Money in
the student’s meal account at the end of the school year will be
carried over to the next school year.
How Students Will Use:
Students use their six-digit student ID number to access the
system. This ID number will stay with the student until he/she
graduates. Each
student needs to memorize their ID number.
(Please note that if a student forgets their number, the staff
will be happy to help them access their account.)
At lunch they will pick up their meal, punch in their ID number
on the keypad, and the cost will be deducted from their account.
By reducing the use of cash, check out is quicker and the
possibility of students losing money is eliminated.
(Students may use cash, but will still enter their ID number for
the transaction.)
Important Details:
·
PLEASE REMIND STUDENTS NOT TO SHARE THEIR ID NUMBER WITH ANYONE.
Student pictures will be added to the system as soon as they are
available to ensure that there is no unauthorized use of their
account.
·
Brothers and sisters may not share accounts. If you would like
to have money transferred to a brother or sister, please contact
the Food Service Office at 272-7610 and we will take care of the
transfer.
·
If your child has qualified for Free or Reduced price meals,
this information will be in the computer and the meal will be
processed with no acknowledgement of the student’s status.
