Voters in the Mariemont City School district approved Issue 2 on the November 6, 2018 ballot. “We are so excited and grateful to the voters for this outcome,” said Superintendent Steven Estepp. “Thanks to their support, we have the funds to maintain excellence in our classrooms and keep programs and staff that are critical to our success. This is a great day for our students and community.”
Funds from this combined issue will meet the day-to-day operating needs of the district for the next four years as well as address the significant needs at the high school and provide security enhancements and ongoing maintenance support at all schools across the district. In addition the district will be able to avoid nearly $2 million in budget reductions over the next two fiscal years.
“Thank you to the many volunteers who worked so tirelessly to make sure accurate information was shared with our community,” noted Estepp. “Their efforts clearly made the difference here and we are so grateful for their tremendous effort. Tomorrow we will be able to focus on moving forward with plans for quality learning environments instead of making cuts to our budget.”
