Mariemont City Schools has announced David Caldwell as the new head boys basketball coach. Caldwell comes to the district with a great deal of coaching experience at multiple schools. He is a 1993 graduate of St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati and a 1997 graduate of Witteneurg University where he earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in histiry. He received his M.S. Administration degree from Xavier University in 2006 and earned his principal licensure in 2015.
Caldwell has 20 years experience in education, having served as an assistant principal in Northwest Schools where he is currently a social studies teacher. In 2017-18 he served as the assistant boys basketball coach at Milford and has experience as the head boys basketball coach at Glen Este High School (2007-15) and as an assistant coach at Archbishop McNicholas High School (1999-2007). In addition to basketball, he has coached girls tennis, football and softball and currently assists in coaching his children's teams. Caldwell will bring a passion for coaching athletes and serving the students of our community, along with his use of data and analytical informaion.
