Six students from Mariemont and Terrace Park Elementary schools have been selected to a pair of statewide exhibits in honor of the 38th Annual Youth Art Month. Ava Grace Kulesza (Mariemont Elementary, 5th grade), Genevieve McDulin (Mariemont Elementary, 1st grade) and Beckham Graham (Terrace Park Elementary, 1st grade) were selected to the Young People’s Art Exhibit (YPAE) while Macy McCarthy (Mariemont Elementary, 4th grade), Spencer Badenhop (Mariemont Elementary, 2nd grade) and Lia Terrell (Terrace Park Elementary, 4th grade) were selected to the Youth Art Month (YAM) exhibit.

Both exhibitions are sponsored by the Ohio Art Education Association (OAEA), with nine regions across Ohio being represented this year. The YPAE show includes 130 student artworks from all over the state while the YAM show will showcase 135 student artworks.

The YPEA show, with Kulesza, McDulin and Graham’s art pieces, will be on display at the Rhodes State Office Tower (30 East Broad St., Columbus, Ohio) from February 17 through March 16. Each student will be honored in a recognition ceremony on March 3 in Columbus.

McCarthy, Badenhop and Terrell’s pieces in the YAM exhibition will be on display at the State Teacher’s Retirement Systems (STRS) building (275 East Broad St., Columbus, Ohio) between February 17 and March 16. Their recognition ceremony also will take place on March 3 in Columbus.
