The Mariemont High School girls varsity swim team, OHSAA Division II runner up in 2015 and 2016, has been named national champions by the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association.
The National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (NISCA) also recognizes national All Americans for the top 100 swimmers and divers in each event. The NISCA sponsors the national dual meet team rankings. Each school enters a lineup of three swimmer per event and two relay teams in each event. The NISCA placed Mariemont in the Public School Division (1-900), and the Warriors amassed 5018 points, leading the field by over 500 points. The Mariemont High School boys varsity swim team was ranked 8th.
The varsity girls also had three sets of All Americans named in the 100 breaststroke, 200 free relay and 200 medley relay.
Congratulations to Head Swim Coach Kevin Maness, assistant coaches Jordan Schad and David Spooner, Head Diving Coach Ray Noble, and especially to the swimmers on another outstanding accomplishment in the 2015-16 season!
