Night

Night by Elie Wiesel

  The first day of school, be prepared to discuss the book.  The first week of school, you will be tested.  Night is a memoir (a true story) of the author’s experiences as a 15-year-old young Jewish man in the Nazi death camps.  It’s short, easy to read, and totally engrossing.  The author has received numerous awards for his writing and humanitarian endeavors, among them, the 1986 Nobel Peace Prize.

Night by Elie Weisel

Be prepared to discuss  the books the first day of school.  The first week of school, there will be tests and a writing assignment (with integrated quotes) covering all three books.  Taking some notes as you read will aid in writing the essay.
