Grading system is a point system. Points are awarded daily for homework or class work, in addition to points for tests, quizzes, or
essays. Students often get time in class to work on homework. Grammar and vocabulary are taught year round. Grammar focuses on student writing. An Ohio Graduation Test workbook is also used. Both semester exams are based on the five-paragraph essay.
