Hall of Fame - Sports Shorts
Collin Widecan (1st grade - 2004/05) finished his first year in Mariemont Football by being the only player on his team to score any touchdowns.  He played Quarterback and Defensive Back for his team.  Congratulations on your efforts as well as your accomplishments.  We look forward to many years of watching you play for the Warriors.

Hard work pays off for the Mariemont Wrestling Team 2004/05.  Congratulations to Riley Henderson (2nd Grade), David Quiambao (3rd Grade), William Sayre (6th Grade) and Taylor Henderson (6th Grade) for placing 1st in their respective weight classes at the City Wrestling Tournament.  In the District Wrestling Tournament, William placed 7th and Taylor placed 3rd.  The 3rd place finish gave Taylor an invitation to the State Wrestling Tournament in Bowling Green on April 2nd and 3rd with a record of 23-5.  He came away with a 6th place finish and a great deal of experience.  We are very proud of your efforts and sportsmanship!

City - Taylor pinned his first opponent.  His second opponent was a state champion in past years.  Taylor wrestled extremely smart, and won a 2 to 1 decision.  His final match for first place was won by a 6 to 1 decision.  Taylor has been wrestling for 6 years. Excellent effort!!!!

 

City - William's first match was won by a
10-3 decision, second by a 15-0  decision and 
his final match was won by a 5-4 decision. Of utmost
note is the fact that this final match was against
a closely matched rival.  William has
been wrestling for 7 years.  Congratulations!!!!

 City - David's first and second matches were determined by pinning his opponents.  The final match was won by a 8 - 0 decision.  David has been wrestling for 3 years.  Way to go !!
 
 
City - Riley's first match was determined by a 8 - 4 decision and his semifinal and final matches were both determined in Overtime with an 8 to 6 decision and a 6 to 4 decision respectively.   This is Riley's first year of competition.  He has been wrestling for 2 years. Congratulations goes out to Will Grimmer (2nd grade - 2004/05) for shooting a hole in one on the Little Miami Par 3 golf course.  Will's family was in attendance to see the spectacular shot.  He used an 8 iron on the #1 hole of the course.  Tiger who????
