MARIEMONT ELEMENTARY LIBRARY

Time Flies Text - In this structure writers use one setting or one object as a focal point and have a great deal of time pass while this focal point remains constant.  In other words, time moves while place stands still.  Often, this structure is used to show changes occurring in the place that are brought on by the natural movement and changes of time.  Throughout the text the writer brings you back again and again to the focal point. (Wondrous Words by Katie Wood Ray).
