Birthday Celebrations

        We are always happy to celebrate a birthday in kindergarten!  Your child may celebrate his/her birthday on the day, the school day nearest the day or on his/her half-birthday.

         Due to a large number of children these days with peanut allergies, the Mariemont Board of Education has adopted a NO PEANUT policy.  This means that no food which includes peanuts or peanut oil may be served.
Please make sure that any food you provide is peanut free.

         Your child may choose any type of snack.  You may also provide a drink if you choose.  We always have milk at school as an alternative.  Feel free to be creative or use a tried and true snack.  Some examples of birthday treats that we have served include:

brownies
cake
cookies
cupcakes
"dirt" pudding cups
doughnuts
ice cream cups
popsicles

         It is your responsibility to schedule your child's birthday celebration with me.  You can catch me at morning drop-off/pick-up, through e-mail or by phone (272-7400)
