Writing is a developmental process. Our goals for third grade are:
  1.  Provide the opportunity to develop fluency in writing.
  2.  Introduce and apply appropriate thinking skills.

3.  Provide the opportunity to demonstrate an ability to use a variety of writing
       forms.
  4.  Introduce the elements of plot and character for imaginative writing.

In  third grade we use a combination of  Write On Track, A Handbook for Young Thinkers, and Learners and the Houghton Mifflin Practice Book.
