Welcome to the 2006-2007 school year at Mariemont Elementary!  I am so thrilled to be YOUR teacher!  I can hardly wait  to get to know you and your family.

I have had a wonderful summer with my grandchildren, William (age 7), Meredith (age 5), Jacob (age 3), and Kiley (age 17  months).  I'll tell you a little secret.  I am going to be a grandma again in January!  I have also spent a lot of time with my granddog, Derby.  Derby is a golden retriever, and I love to have him visit at my house.   The first three grandchildren live in Denver with my son, Todd, and his wife, Julie.  Kiley lives in town with my daughter, Amy, and her husband, Ken.   She is the one who will get the new brother or sister.

I  took a trip in July to Connecticut  to visit my dear friend, Lori, and her husband, Tom. They have a big boat and we spent time on Long Island Sound and the Connecticut River.  I also got to see their children and their families.  One of their children is our Godchild and I got to meet her baby as well as  her brother's family with twin one year old daughters.

I have been happily employed in Mariemont since 1979.  This is my 17th. year in first grade at Mariemont Elementary.  I have also taught kindergarten at Fairfax Elementary.

I am very active in my church choir because I love to sing.  I hope you like to sing because we will be singing in class as we learn.  I also love being outside either gardening, walking, or riding my bike.

I know we will have a great year together!
