INTRODUCTION

     Rainforests cover approximately 2% of the Earth's surface and they house over half the plant and animal species on Earth.  The world's rainforests are rapidly disappearing.  Do you know why?  Investigate and find out!  If something is not done soon, the rainforests will disappear completely.  You and your team of scientists have been chosen to study the Earth's rainforests and must convince our government to protect our disappearing rainforests. 

The two questions you must answer are: 

• HOW WOULD THE DESTRUCTION OF THE RAINFORESTS AFFECT OUR LIVES AND THE REST OF THE WORLD?

• WHAT CAN WE DO TO PROTECT OUR RAINFORESTS?
