12-7-17 Announcements

Congratulations to the 7th grade Gold lady warriors for their victory over Madeira last night 48-12. Great game ladies. Come out to support them on Monday as they take on Indian Hill in their first home game!

The 8th grade girls came back with a big win against Madeira 34-18 Wednesday night. Natalee Shriver came up big on the boards with 11 rebounds while also scoring 6 points. Erika Dewey played great defense coming up with 5 steals and scoring 13 points. Marley Valentine added 6 points and 4 steals. Ann Gilbertson added 5 points and 8 rebounds. Lucy Jacobs and Shannon O'Brien each added 2 points and Lily McClure and Shannon Brady grabbed 2 rebounds to complete the team effort. The girls will play Indian Hill at home on Monday.

Yesterday, the 7th grade boys basketball team defeated a strong Madeira team 44 - 38. The boys maintained their composure late in the game to halt Madeira's furious comeback effort. The support from the student section is greatly appreciated.

Attention Power of the Pen: Don’t forget we have practice on Thursday in Mrs. Jordan’s room. See your LA teacher if you can’t be there.

Everyone is invited to celebrate the holiday season by attending a Holiday Concert performed by Jr. High students on Thursday, December 7 beginning at 7 p.m. at Mariemont Elementary auditorium.

The MJHS Winter Exam Block schedule is available and will take place the last three days {Dec 18, 19, 20} before the winter break. If you have questions, you may contact your child’s teacher, Mrs. Skinner or Ms. Connaughton.

Yearbook order forms have been distributed to students and are due back to the Jr. High on Wednesday, December 20.  Extra yearbooks are not guaranteed by the printer, so ordering a book by December 20 ensures your students will receive a yearbook.  Extra yearbook order forms will be available in the JH office beginning tomorrow.

Late Arrival / Early Dismissal Procedure:  Parents please send a note to school with your student if they need to leave early for an appointment or other reason.  Please remind your student to bring the note to the office upon arrival (prior to first bell class) where they will receive a pass to leave class early and wait at the office until you arrive.  If this procedure is followed, your student will be sent outside to meet you upon your arrival.  In place of a note to school you may email Mrs. Murray prior to 8:30
